Easing the challenges of absence
Recording, monitoring and managing employee absence is a challenge to any business.
Absence Solutions, part of Norwich Union Healthcare’s Employer Solutions is a new initiative in absence management. Created as a modular solution that can work together as an integrated package or as stand-alone offerings, Absence Solutions allows employers to ease the strain of employee absence on their business, quickly and simply.

There are three options available:
- Absence Manager
Employers can choose from either an automated telephone and web-based service, or a Nurse-Led based telephone service to record the incidence of absence of employees and provide tailored reporting to employers to enable effective tracking and management.
- Absence Rehabilitation
Clinically trained nurses direct employees through to appropriate services as soon as a problem arises. Rehabilitation services can provide medical advice and treatment, counselling for stress related conditions or health and wellbeing plans for employees.
- Audit and Consultancy
The early identification and management of potential employee health risks can be a worthwhile investment. Norwich Union Healthcare is able to provide experienced occupational health consultants to advise on how to reduce the risks to both employer and employee.
